West Mifflin Area School District officials are investigating an alleged hazing incident involving members of the high school baseball team.
According to a statement from the district, the incident allegedly took place while the baseball team was competing in Florida. The statement adds that the district is currently working to gather information on the incident, and does not provide specific details as to what happened.
“Any form of hazing or inappropriate behavior is completely unacceptable and does not align with the values we uphold as a District,” said Superintendent Jeffrey Soles. “We are fully committed to holding all individuals involved accountable for their actions, and we will ensure that appropriate steps are taken as we continue to investigate.”
According to the statement, the investigation is still ongoing and the district could not provide more information.
