Robert A. Magiske – Finleyville
Robert A. Magiske, 91, of Finleyville, passed away at Paramount Senior Living in McMurray on Saturday, Ma r c h 29, 2025. He was born in Floreffe on Feb. 26, 1934, a son of the Late Michael and Mary Kampert Magiske. A 1952 graduate of Clairton High School, Bob loved playing baseball and tried out for the Pittsburgh Pirates as a shortstop and second baseman. Bob worked as a truck driver for the Local Teamsters Union until his retirement and then went back to work as a school bus driver for Matthews Bus Co. in Finleyville. A member of Central Highland United Methodist Church in Elizabeth, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially going to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. He is survived by a son, Robert “Red” (Lynn) Magiske of Monongahela; two daughters, Donna (Kimbel) Clackson of Peters Township and Carol (Joseph) Territo of West Mifflin; five grandchildren, Michael R. (Chelsey) Magiske, Amy (Zachary) Bozik, Nicole (Daniel) Rossman, Matthew (Grace) Clackson and Christopher (Jaclyn) Clackson; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Bickerton) Magiske, who passed away on Jan. 13, 2022; and a brother, George Magiske. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, where services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Jude Urso officiating.
