Curry was 16 of 31 from the field, making 12 of his 20 shots from distance, the dozen 3-pointers matching his season high. Jimmy Butler scored 27 points, and Draymond Green had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists as the Warriors moved into fifth place in the Western Conference.
Ja Morant led Memphis with 36 points and six assists, and Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 22 points. Zach Edey had 10 points and 16 rebounds as Memphis dropped its third straight.
Bulls secure spot in play-in tourney CHICAGO (AP) — Coby White scored 28 points, Talen Horton Tucker had 27 points and the Chicago Bulls locked in a spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament with a 137-118 win over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
Nikola Vucevic shot 9 for 12, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range to finish with 22 points, while adding 10 rebounds and seven assists.
The Raptors were led by Ja’Kobe Walter, with 17 points while Immanuel Quickley added 17 points and nine assists.
The Bulls took the lead with 1:22 left in the first quarter and never looked back. The score was 70-57 by halftime. Horton-Tucker led the way with a team-high 18 second-half points.
Flagg, Broome, Clayton among Wooden Award finalists
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Johni Broome of Auburn is one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden Award as the outstanding men’s college basketball player.
The other finalists are Walter Clayton Jr. of Florida, Duke’s Cooper Flagg, Mark Sears of Alabama and Braden Smith of Purdue.
Broome, Clayton and Flagg will lead their teams at the Final Four in San Antonio this weekend.
The Wooden Award winner will be honored April 11 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
The other members of the Wooden All-America team announced Tuesday are: L.J. Cryer of Houston, Kam Jones of Marquette, Ryan Kalkbrenner of Creighton, Chaz Lanier of Tennessee and John Tonje of Wisconsin.
Bueckers, Hidalgo, Watkins up for women’s Wooden Award
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Paige Bueckers of UConn is one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden Award that goes to the nation’s outstanding women’s college basketball player.
The other finalists are Lauren Betts of UCLA, Madison Booker of Texas, Hannah Hidalgo of Notre Dame and JuJu Watkins of Southern California.
Bueckers, Betts and Booker will lead their teams at the Final Four in Tampa, Florida, this weekend.
Watkins suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the Trojans’ second-round NCAA Tournament win over Mississippi State.
“Thank you all for the incredible love and support. Seeing all your messages and kind words has meant the world to me. y’all have given me so much hope,” Watkins posted on Instagram after the Trojans lost to Bueckers and UConn in the Elite Eight on Monday.
