Westmoreland County Community College is offering several new and exciting summer camps for kids and teens starting in June.
New camps being offered this summer address topics including robotics, advanced manufacturing, trades, sports, careers, science and general interests.
“With an incredible lineup of new offerings, we’re expanding opportunities for children of all ages to explore, learn and create unforgettable memories,” said Brittany Shinsky, Westmoreland’s director of community engagement.
A sampling of camps for ages 10-18 includes Money Matters Bootcamp, Social Media Video Pro, Camping in the Great Outdoors and Comic Creators Fab.
For ages 5-10, Bluey & Peppa Pig’s Camp Adventure, Adventures in Bookland, Fittle Pizzaiolos: Create, Bake & Fake! and Camp Westly.
In addition, the college is offering a variety of “One Day to Greatness: Future Exploration Camps” that will allow campers to discover a possible future career in areas such as culinary arts, EMF/fire/first responder, finance, healthcare and law.
Returning to the summer schedule are the popular sports camps and clinics for aspiring athletes to hone skills.
“We’re especially grateful for the generous grants from Build Back Better/New Economy Collaborative and Fhe Benedum Foundation that have made it possible to introduce camps that would not have been feasible otherwise,” said Shinsky.
“I can’t wait to see our campers come together to learn, grow and have an amazing summer,” Shinsky concluded.
Registration is now open for camps and the complete schedule is available online at westmoreland.edu/camps.
