Ricky Lawson went 4-for-4, with doubles in the third and fifth innings and singles in the first and fifth.
Bethlehem Center took the lead in the third inning, scoring three runs on an error and one on a single by Brody Bebout.
California turned the game around in the fifth, scoring 10 runs on six hits.
After an error made the score 4-3 in favor of the Bulldogs, Caden Monticelli added a two-run single to give the Trojans a 5-4 lead.
Colton Lowden added an RBI singled before Weston Monticelli drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 7-4.
Lawson delivered a two-run double to right before a wild pitch and Chase Cicchitto’s double. Logan Hartley came in to score on a passed ball to make it 12-4.
Lawson got the win in relief, pitching two innings, allowing two hits, striking out two, and walking one. Hunter Lloyd took the loss for Beth-Center, pitching 2/3 of an inning, giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits and striking out two.
Caden Monticelli started for California, allowing five hits and four unearned runs over four innings, striking out 10.
Bebout started for the Bulldogs (2-3, 1-3), giving up five hits and two runs (one earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.
California (2-3-1, 2-0) finished with 12 hits, with Chase Cicchitto and Kaden Weston each getting multiple hits. The team stole four bases and turned one double play.
Bebout went 1-for-2 with one RBI for Bethlehem Center. Jackson Nopwaskey led the team with two hits in three at-bats.
The teams will play again 4:30 p.m. today at Beth-Center.
Baldwin 16, McKeesport 1 Highlanders pitcher Trey Alario needed to face only 11 batters as Baldwin rolled over the Tigers in a Section 4-5A matchup.
Alario tossed a three-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts, allowing only one run. At the plate, Alario had a pair of doubles and drove in a pair of runs.
Nick Burg added three hits and four RBIs to lead the Highlanders (2-4, 1-2). Nico Macurak and Aiden Robinson each doubled with Marcurak added three RBIs.
Caulan Smith took the loss for the Tigers (0-8, 0-3) after allowing 12 runs, nine earned, on five hits. He walked six.
The two teams are scheduled to meet again today at Helen Richey Field.
