Ronald L. Campbell – North Belle Vernon
Ronald L. Campbell, 67, of North Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, as the result of a car accid ent. Ronald was born on Dec. 17, 1957, in East Liverpool Hospital in Ohio. He was the beloved son of the late Paul Eugene and Dora (May) Campbell. Formerly of Wellsville, Ohio, Ronald has been a resident of North Belle Vernon since 2004. Lover of classic cars and diecast model cars and model planes, and engines, Ron got the car bug when he got his first Hot Wheels toy car. He and his friend, the late Richie Messenger, went to many car shows together. Ron grew up on a farm, where he developed a love for animals. He had his own two horses, and his first paying job was breaking stallions. Ronald and his close cousin, Richard Woomer of East Liverpool, enjoyed listening to music, especially country music. He had been employed by the Central Blood Bank for 20 years as a lab technician, retiring in 2023. He loved his co-workers. He teased the “Steelers” fans at work. In turn, they enjoyed teasing him back about being a New England Patriots fan. He was amazingly smart, funny, generous and very kind. He encouraged people to dream. “Remember you can do anything. One day that dream will be yours.” Ronald was the beloved husband of 17 years to Diane Nichols Campbell. They met for the first time in their teens at the former KB Roller Rink, where he was a competition skater. They found each other again in 2000 and decided to marry on April 1 while listening to the song “Only Fools Fall In Love.” Ron also leaves two brilliant children, Sharon May Campbell of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Ronald Ollie Campbell of Steubenville, Ohio. He is also survived by many other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan K. Craig, in 2011. With broken hearts and tears in our eyes, we say goodbye to a truly great man! There will be no public visitation or services.
