West Mifflin awaits insurance settlement from fire
The high school auditorium was damaged in December when a lift ignited while recharging.
The West Mifflin Area School District could get close to $4 million from insurance claims regarding a fire in the high school auditorium.
The fire, which occurred Dec. 16, reportedly originated from a lift owned and operated by an outside contractor that was left plugged in to charge overnight. There were no injuries.
