Trisha Gadson of the Jefferson Regional Foundation spoke about the importance of grassroots organizations in impacting community health, especially when racial or socioeconomic equity is a factor. The Partnership recognized the three McKeesport churches that have helped to break barriers and stigmas over the last 25 years: Bethlehem Baptist, Zion Baptist, and St. Paul AME. The organization also recognized the Rev. Henry M. Billingsley and Barbara Williams.
