Ruth Barone, age 94, of Monongahela, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Concordia of Cranberry in Mars, Pa. She was born in Donora on May 30, 1929, daughter of the late Andrew Evans and the late Anne Evans. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Barone; four sisters, Elizabeth, Irene, Marcy and Eleanor; and two brothers, Jerome and Edward. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol (Hal) Barone-Martin of Gibsonia, Pa.; two sons, Robert Barone of Pittsburgh and Jeffrey Barone of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren, Carly Martin and Benjamin Martin; a brother, Donald Evans of Aspinwall; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Extension, Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where private family visitation and funeral services were held with Deacon Al Poroda officiating. Interment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora.
