During this unprecedented national emergency as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take a toll on local businesses, the Mon Valley Independent has made the difficult decision to temporarily alter its print publication schedule.
Beginning Monday, the Mon Valley Independent’s print edition will only be available Tuesdays through Saturdays.
We will continue producing a digital, electronic-edition newspaper Mondays as well as Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Our current home-delivery subscribers will be able to read Monday’s newspaper via the electronic edition.
We are also continuing our 60-day free trial of our e-edition. Complete instructions to access the e-edition are available on our website at www.monvalleyindependent.com. If you need assistance logging in, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 724-314-0030.
“The Mon Valley Independent wants to assure its readers and advertisers this move is a temporary adjustment due to the extraordinary circumstances facing businesses as we deal with the effects of the coronavirus epidemic,” said Mon Valley Independent board member Naz Victoria.
“As a true hometown paper employed with dedicated staff members who live, work and raise their families in the Mon Valley, we want to do everything we can to weather this storm and come through it even stronger,” said Managing Editor Stacy Wolford. “We will continue to cover the stories and provide the local news that impacts all of our lives on a daily basis. None of that will change.”
The Mon Valley Independent also remains committed during this difficult time to support all of our advertisers and local businesses and work with them through these challenging times.
