The McKeesport K-9 Unit is a tight-knit bunch, and when one of their own is suffering the whole unit bands together in support, according to Officer Nick Matthews.
On Sunday, the unit announced on its Facebook page that K-9 Officer Farkle, an 8-year-old Dutch shepherd who is handled by Matthews, has been diagnosed with oral melanoma.
