Hours after notching their first national ranking of the season, the 25th-ranked California University women’s basketball team was able to overcome a slow start to knock off visiting Central State, 75-62, Tuesday at the Convocation Center at Cal U.
The Marauders came out in the first quarter with a zone defense and stifled the Vulcans, but once redshirt senior Seairra Barrett got rolling her teammates followed and dominated the rest of the contest.
