A mix of wintry weather swept through the Mid-Mon Valley Thursday night, causing a handful of accidents as motorists tried to navigate icy roadways.
Around 7 p.m., the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh extended a winter weather advisory for the region until 1 a.m. today.
