Monongahela will see an increase in real estate taxes next year, as council voted unanimously Wednesday to raise the rate from 6.5 to 7 mills.

Council adopted its final 2019 budget with total funds of $3,138,569, expenditures of $3,129,356 and a remaining fund balance of $9,204. One mill generates $175,870, so the increase will bring the city an additional $87,935.
