No injuries were reported following an early-morning fire that broke out Monday in the 1100 block of State Road in Monessen. City police officers and crews from Monessen Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department and Monessen Fire Department No. 1 were dispatched to the scene around 6:21 a.m., according to the Monessen Hilltop Fire Department. All crews cleared the scene at approximately 9 a.m. and a fire marshal visited later. Assisting units were Rostraver Central, Charleroi, Carroll Township, Belle Vernon, Lock 4, Webster and Washington Township volunteer fire departments.
