Fallowfield Township supervisors decided how to move forward with repairs of the municipal garage that was damaged by a fire in November.
Although the fire was extinguished quickly, two trucks inside were destroyed and a third truck was damaged. Supervisors previously said two insurance claims, one for the vehicles and one for the building itself, are likely going to be around $1 million.
Chairman Bruce Smith said since last month’s supervisors’ meeting, he has talked to the insurance company three or four times and met with the insurance adjustor a few times as well.
Smith said the township wasn’t sure how to proceed in terms of hiring a company to do the work.
