A Belle Vernon native preparing to graduate from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe was one of three recipients of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society’s Maria Leonard Book Award.

The award recognizes academic achievements for students who attained the highest cumulative average at the end of the first semester of their senior year.

Mallory Truckenmiller shared the award with Benjamin Watt of North Huntington and Raylen Welling of New Brighton during Saint Vincent’s 2019 Alpha Lambda Delta induction ceremony Feb. 23.

In total, 121 students were inducted as part of the 25th Alpha Lambda Delta class.
