Two more area communities have thrown their hats in the ring for the fourth annual America’s Main Streets Contest.
Downtown Elizabeth and downtown Washington, Pa., are the latest contenders to join the national community revitalization competition, sponsored by Stihl brand’s Independent We Stand.
A nationwide movement of independent small business owners, Independent We Stand’s mission is to inspire and educate others about the importance and benefits of supporting small businesses. The America’s Main Streets Contest helps consumers, small business owners and main street organizations reward a deserving community with cash and prizes to help revitalize its main thoroughfare.
