A local nonprofit group is hoping to raise enough money to give a park in the Magic City a much needed update.
The Charleroi Community Park Board of Trustees has launched a GoFundMe, an online fundraising effort, to help get the project started.
Trustees Park is located behind the Chamber Plaza Building along the Monongahela River. It is owned and operated by the Board of Trustees.
The park has been serving residents in the Mon Valley since 1957 when the Charleroi Chamber of Commerce voted to dedicate the riverfront property to recreational activities.
