Heading into his fifth month as director of operations for the Mon Valley Alliance, Ben Brown will soon begin a new chapter with the organization.
The board of directors announced Thursday that Brown has been unanimously promoted to chief executive officer. His tenure will begin May 1.
His current position will dissolve and the duties will be merged into the CEO’s responsibilities.
Before taking on a full-time position with the Alliance in January, Brown was vice president of real estate for Beynon & Co., a Pittsburgh-based commercial real estate firm that worked to support Alliance land sale efforts at Alta Vista Industrial Park.
