California’s Jelani Stafford and Monessen’s Darnel Howell are known for being top-notch athletes.
Over the last several years, Stafford has served as a standout for the Trojans football team while Howell has made an impact on the football field, basketball court and baseball field.
Add track and field to the list of sports the pair has excelled in.
Stafford claimed the gold medal in the shot put and Howell stood atop the podium in the high jump during the 18th annual Scott Frederick Mid-Mon Track Classic at Charleroi High School on Monday afternoon.
