The McKeesport Area School Board has eight Democrats running for five, four-year-seats in the May 21 primary.
There is guaranteed to be at least one new face on the board next year as current Director Mary Jane Keller is not seeking re-election.
Incumbents Joe Lopretto, Steven Kondrosky, Mindy Sturgess and James Brown are all seeking re-election. Newcomers are Diane Elias, Nikita Crumb, Michael Shelly and Amber Webb. Lopretto and Kondrosky have cross filed.
