Tigers continue trending in right direction

The McKeesport girls soccer program is on the rise after falling out of the WPIAL conference circuit prior to the 2017 season.

The Tigers are entering their third season playing an independent schedule.

Third-year head coach Anthony Jacobs was the man tasked with getting them back into the conference picture and, with the growth of his program over the last two seasons, he sees that as a very real possibility.

“We are hoping to get back into a conference, and that is one of our biggest things we want to do,” said Jacobs. “If we don’t continue to progress, we might not get back in. We’ve been getting more competitive. We went from one win my first year to getting five last year and we are hoping to get more than that this year.”
