California falls to Cornell, 32-27

Fourth-seeded Cornell slipped past fifth-seeded California, 32-27, in the first round of the WPIAL Class A playoffs Friday night at West Allegheny. 

Zaier Harrison completed 11 of 15 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He completed a 9-yard score to Amere Hibbler and a 28-yarder to Isaiah Langston. 

Hibbler added a 24-yard run, while Davon Wilson added a 27-yard score for Cornell (9-1). 

California (7-4) scored all of its touchdowns on the ground.
