Elizabeth Forward senior second baseman Jordan Pinneri has fond childhood memories of her sitting with her father, Tony, watching college softball games on TV.

That’s how she developed her love for the game and an appreciation for those who play it at the collegiate level.

Pinneri grew up idolizing Alabama’s Haylie McCleney, a four-time All-American outfielder, and learning first-hand from Elizabeth Forward graduate Kristen Hawkins, who went on to play at the University of Virginia.

“(Watching them) made me realize what kind of impact they have on little girls,” Pinneri said. “I’ve always wanted to do that.”
