Jefferson Hills borough council was preparing to see three new faces as a result of the Nov. 5 general election, with newcomers Karen Bucy, Keith Reynolds and Nicole Ruscitto winning council seats.
But residents learned at Wednesday’s council agenda meeting that a fourth new face will be on council — but who that person will be remains to be seen.
Amid gasps of shock from those in attendance at Wednesday’s meeting, residents learned that longtime council President Christopher King resigned from his post. Borough manager John Stinner then announced he is accepting letters of interest from residents who would like to fill the vacant council seat.
King was not present at Wednesday’s meeting and was not available for comment.
