The pattern of late for Thomas Jefferson is to hang on and win close.

After the Jaguars did it again Friday with a 58-54 win over Montour, Jaguars guard Isaac McNeil simply smiled, shook his head and said, “That’s what we do.”

The win marked the Jaguars’ third consecutive victory, with the previous two by a combined five points.

“They’ve been in these positions before, and they’ve learned how to win,” DeCicco said. “I think that’s the character of these kids. To be honest, our guys never panic. I told them I’m too old for this, but they find a way to win.”

TJ (6-4, 3-1) built a 15-point lead at halftime, which served as enough cushion to weather a furious Spartans comeback.
