Margaret E. Beckner, 77, of Central City, Somerset County, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at In Touch Hospice, Somerset, surrounded by her family. She was born March 4, 1943, in Madison, daughter of John Potiseck and Lila Jackson Potiseck. She retired from the Daily American newspaper. She is survived by her five children, Howard McCrory at home, Becky Varley and husband Jon of East Palestine, Ohio, Victor McCrory and wife Sally of Somerset, Nancy Woolley of Somerset and Gale McCrory of Fayette City; along with 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Potiseck. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa., www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2020, in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Boring officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, PA 15601.
