Residents in Carroll Township may soon be able to get township information and news updates from the Internet.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Carroll Township supervisors unanimously approved the development of a township website similar to the Carroll Township Authority’s site.

According to supervisor Ken Hillman, the website will be developed and maintained by Bellwood, Pa., based Muni-Link, the same company that developed and maintains the authority’s website.

“They will put all our ordinances on there, all of our codes on there and any forms such as permit applications will be on there to be downloaded and someone can fill it out and bring it in instead of having to come out here to get it,” Hillman said. “There will be other information the township can put on there, as far as links to the police department or the authority and any other general township information.”
