A Little Food Pantry is now available in Rostraver Township for anyone in need — with no questions asked.

The pantry has been set up by Fayette Resources, Inc., a local nonprofit organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health needs, as a way of reaching out to the community.

The Little Food Pantry is set up at the office, located at 1112 Fells Church Road in Rostraver.

Anyone can drop off nonperishable food items and anyone may take whatever they need.

“The sign on it reads, ‘Give what you can, take what you need,’” said Kevin Miller, the program specialist at Fayette Resources.

The Little Food Pantry was installed two weeks ago and stocked for the first time last week both by staff and members of the community, Miller said.

The community has been supportive of the new initiative.

“We’ve had several people come and put things in and we’ve had some stuff removed,” Miller said. “We’re hoping to get the word out so it gets more use.”
