Michele “Mitzy” Perry, of Monessen, passed away Mon-day, March 1, after a long illness at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born July 8, 1954, at Charleroi- Monessen Hospital, a daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Diskant Slebodnik. Michele was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen. Surviving are her husband, James Perry; children, Jamie (Adam) West and Kevin and Jenna Perry; sisters, Kathy Stupakis and Elaine (James) Corboy; and grandchildren, Kylee and Connor West and Janelle Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth “Gladys” Perry; niece, Erin Stupakis; aunts, Mary and Ann Diskant; brother-in-law, Merle “Bud” Perry; father-in-law, Merle Perry; and an uncle, Steve Slebodnik. A memorial service for Michele will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in Michele’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
