Viola Violet Boyd, 90, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on Oct. 16, 1930. Viola was a retired chef and worked at numerous restaurants, including the Penn McKee Hotel and Rockwell’s Red Lion Restaurant in Elizabeth. Until her last breath, she cherished being a Rostraver football grandma! She is survived by her son, Robert W. (Sherry) Craven Jr.; daughters, Patricia (Shawn) Rodman, Tammie J. Craven and Michelle (Mark) Perri; her loving daughter-in-law, Polly Jane Craven; grandchildren, Sherri Mae (David) Powell, Cindy Craven, Justin A. Craven Sr., Louis A. Craven, Amber Perri (Mihlon), Natalie Perri, Gino Perria and Tuxedo; great-grandchildren, Jaielene, Nicholas, Abigail, Amber, Justin Jr., Christopher (Holly), David Jr., Lexi and Marcus; and great-great-grandchildren, Rylee and Finnley Joseph. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sophia Bodnar; husband, Bernard Nile Boyd; son, Donald Stephen Craven; brothers, Stephen and Andrew and Johnny Bodnar; and sister, Susan.
