Charles “Bill” Ruse, 93, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at home. He was born April 13, 1928, in Monongahela, the son of Clyde and Juletta O’Connor Ruse. For more than 20 years, Bill was employed in the service department at Monongahela Ford and also for Irey Industries, where he worked in construction. He owned and operated Ruse Auto Repair in Bentleyville, until his retirement in 1996. His memberships included L.O.O.M. No. 480 of Bedford, where he was a lifetime member, New Baltimore Sportsman Club, VFW Post 4440 of Schellsburg, Arroas Haymakers of New Eagle, the NRA and the former Monongahela Turners. Bill was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by three sons, Wesley W. Ruse and wife Gisele, Kevin D. Ruse and wife Linda, of Bentleyville, Kerry Ruse and wife Chris of Monongahela; two daughters, Aileen Ruse and Kristie Ruse Fowler and husband Brentley, of Bentleyville; nine grandchildren, Bill Ruse and wife Megan, Jaclyn Ruse, Victoria Ruse, Kathleen Ruse, Christopher Ruse and girlfriend Katelyn, Emily Ruse, Autumn Mrosko and husband Josh, Shane Ruse and wife Liz and Kyle Fowler; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Willa and Conner Ruse; special friend of many years, Francis Baumgardner of New Eagle; numerous nieces and nephews; and former wife, Loretta Ruse of Bentleyville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Betty Jane Hanratty, Patricia Jean Myers, June Aiello, Mollie Kotecki, Darlene Allridge; and brother, Donald “Bud” Ruse. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, with Pastor Josh Green officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
