Charleroi’s season comes to an end with consolation loss to Ambridge

Fourth-seeded Charleroi saw its season come to an end with a 6-1 loss to sixth-seeded Ambridge in a WPIAL Class 2A consolation game at Peters Township Wednesday night. The Bridgers (13-6) broke a 1-1 tie midway through the first half by scoring one of three goals in a span of three and a half minutes. The sudden spurt allowed Ambridge to gain separation on the scoreboard en route to clinching a berth in the PIAA playoffs.
