Ralph H. Bell Sr. went to be with the Lord on Nov. 9, 2021. He was born Jan. 17, 1932, to the late William Elmer Bell and Pearl Terry Bell of Donora. He was employed by U.S. Steel Clairton Works for many years. After his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed many years of traveling. Ralph was a musician, playing the drums in the footsteps of his father, who was popular in the big band scene around the Pittsburgh area. He was an avid photographer who had several cameras and developed his pictures in his darkroom. He also enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willa Jean; and his eldest daughter, Cynthia Bell Nance; as well as his sisters, Jerry Bell Wells and Winifred L. Reed. Ralph leaves to cherish his memory a son, Ralph Bell Jr. and wife Theresa of New Mexico; a daughter, Shelia Mosby and husband James of Virginia; grandchildren, Kesha Nance Fisher and husband Tyrone of Virginia, Keary Nance and wife Dana of Virginia, Kala Mosby of Virginia, Raphael Bell and wife Erin of Florida, and Tanesha Bell of New Mexico; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bobbi and Claude Richardson, his sister and brother-in-law, and his niece, Claudia Johnson, were his caretakers throughout his illness. Viewing will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062, with a service beginning at noon with the Rev. Lois Larkin of New Testament Holiness Church, McKean Ave., Donora, officiating. Professional arrangements are entrusted to William R. Taylor Funeral Home, Trudy L. Taylor, director.
