Local scout achieves Eagle rank by creating Hearing Aid Boxes

South Allegheny High School senior Jacob Riggs, along with several volunteers, assembled and distributed 32 boxes with hearing aids, cochlear implants and personal messages from Jacob of his own experiences with cochlear implants after losing his hearing due to bacterial meningitis at age 4.

After losing his hearing due to bacterial meningitis at the age of 4, Jacob Riggs, now 18, of Lincoln Borough, found a way to give back to the support program that helped him.
