Allegheny County Parks are encouraging local residents to recycle their real Christmas trees this year. In the Mon Valley, Allegheny County residents can drop their trees off at Round Hill Park in Elizabeth and White Oak Park. Westmoreland Cleanways & Recycling is also offering a tree recycling program for Westmoreland County residents.
While artificial Christmas trees seem to become more and more popular, there are still plenty of folks who put a real pine tree on display to mark the Christmas season.
