Sammy J. Mele Jr., 60, of Arizona, formerly of Monongahela, died Dec. 23, 2021. Born Oct. 27, 1961, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Samuel R. and Jannette Bruno Mele. Sammy was a 1979 graduate of Ringgold High School and Catholic by faith. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric (Amanda) Mele and Shane Mele; their mother, Cheri and her husband Bob Bartman of Monongahela; two sisters, Susan and husband Kevin Dunham of New Eagle, and Bernadette Mele-Holibaugh of Monongahela; two granddaughters, Emilyn and Mirabelle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gary Holibaugh. Funeral services were held in Arizona.
