Snow creates hazardous roads throughout the Mon Valley

Crews respond after a tractor-trailer jackknifed about 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 70 between the Speers and Charleroi exits. The winter’s first significant snowstorm brought dangerous conditions to much of the region Thursday night.

Snow began moving into the area around dinner time Thursday and was expected to taper off before daybreak today.
