Huge collection of sports memorabilia donated

Some of George Turner’s collection of sports artifacts will be displayed at the Belle Vernon Area Football Hall of Fame.

George Turner lived 91 years on the same block. The former Westmoreland County deputy sheriff died Dec. 1, and his widow, Faye Turner, has donated her late husband’s collection of local sports memorabilia to historical societies. Items will be exhibited at the Belle Vernon Area Football Hall of Fame.
