Students in a program at Monessen Middle School are learning the power of positivity. Through the Monessen Positive Action program being offered at the school through a partnership between the Monessen School District, Monessen Public Library, Communities That Care and California University of Pennsylvania, a group of about 26 students are learning the value of choosing positivity over negative actions and reactions. On Wednesday, school, city and program stakeholders sat down for a luncheon at the middle school to talk about its successes, new grant funding they’re hoping to acquire and what kids in the program can expect this summer.
