Questions surface over grant money for Charleroi borough manager

Charleroi Borough could soon begin searching for a new borough manager — if they are able to recoup funds owed to them from the state Department of Community and Economic Development for the former borough manager’s salary. In January, council entered into a separation agreement and accepted the subsequent resignation of former borough Manager Joe Manning, effective Jan. 12. During Wednesday’s council work session, Solicitor Sean Logue said it is a complicated matter that could involve potential litigation.
