U.S. Steel fined for alleged hydrogen sulfide emissions

Allegheny County Health Department issued a $1,842,530 penalty Monday against U.S. Steel’s Clairton Coke Works for alleged exceedances of hydrogen sulfide recorded at the Liberty Borough monitor in 2020, 2021 and this year.
