Charleroi council apologizes to Cheplic for censure, fine

Two years after being censured — and fined — while serving as a Charleroi councilwoman, Jody Cheplic will be reimbursed after the borough’s current solicitor claims the resolution that permitted the censure and subsequent fine, is unenforceable.
Charleroi Solicitor Sean Logue was asked by council to review Resolution No. 6 of 2020 by council last month, after questions of its legitimacy were brought to light.
