Crowd packs meeting over Carroll Township convenience store plans

Carroll Township residents – at least the majority of those present during a special meeting Wednesday – are not interested in having Coen Market as their new neighbor.
Most of the seats in the Carroll Township Social Hall were taken Wednesday, as residents and supervisors heard from Coen Market representatives and other experts about a proposed development at the intersection of state Route 88 and Route 837 that would require both zoning and ordinance amendments to move forward.
