This is the fourth in a series of nine columns dealing with the heroes I knew during an earlier day.
Generations, both before and following my own era, have been filled with children who looked upon some dynamic character, real or fictitious, representing all that is good in the world. Those heroes stood for what they believed in and, through some sort of special talent, were able to represent good triumphing over evil.
