Peter A. “Petey” Merolillo III, 62, of West Mifflin, formerly of Monongahela, Victory Hill, passed away on May 17, 2022, at home. Petey was born on Dec. 11, 1959, in Monongahela, son of the late Peter T. and Frances R. Bevacqua Merolillo-Ritonia. After his graduation in 1981 from Charleroi High School, he worked four years at the Monessen Workshop. Petey was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (formerly St. Anthony’s Church) in Monongahela and had competed for many years in the Special Olympics where he won numerous medals. He is survived by three sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Jack; Susan Dillon and Cecelia Sharrock; and a brother, Robert Merolillo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Merolillo. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, May 20, 2022, at which time services will start with Petey’s brother-in-law, the Rev.
