Fire Company’s Riverfest tradition to continue in Elizabeth Borough

One of the Mon Valley’s most anticipated summer festivals is just around the corner. The Elizabeth Firemen’s Riverfest runs July 29 and July 30. Festivities will be held near the fire station and along the wharf.
Friday festivities and games begin at 6 p.m. Fireworks go off at 10 p.m.
The Breakdown Band will get the five-alarm celebration started at 6:30 p.m., while high-energy country rock band, Stampede, hits the stage at 9 p.m.  There will be a host food trucks and vendors in downtown Elizabeth. Lineup for the 138th Anniversary Parade starts at 4 p.m. Saturday near Center and Second avenues.
