Mary Apessos Fletcher – Bethel Park, formerly of Monessen

 

Mary Apessos Fletcher, 77, of Bethel Park, formerly of Monessen, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home. Born Oct. 17, 1944, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late George and Angelina Kokkinakis Apessos and her stepfather, Nick Senich. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monessen, was a retired hairstylist in Monessen and a retired CNA at Southwestern Health Center, West Mifflin. She also enjoyed bowling and line dancing. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Dana Fletcher of Bethel Park, Donna and Joel Nemec of Ruffs Dale; two grandchildren, Joel Nemec and Jude Nemec; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George “Lipp” and Cora Apessos of Freedom, Nick Senich Jr. and wife Patricia of Pittsburgh; and two sisters-in-law, Vincetta “Dolly” Apessos and Donna Apessos. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas P. Fletcher; two brothers John “Yunny” Apessos and Pete Apessos; and her best friend, Mary Theresa Olexa. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church officiating. Interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery. Prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Michael Selep. In lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Mary A.
