Rostraver hears complaints about foul odors, garbage spills

Reports of a foul odor emanating from the Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill partially spoiled a productive voting session for Rostraver Township’s board of commissioners Wednesday.
The smell of fireworks hanging in the air near the intersection of Lenity School Road and Patton Road this Fourth of July wasn’t enough to mask the smell of rotting deer carcasses for resident Debby Fought and a number of her neighbors. Fought told the commissioners that a number of residents have been dealing with the issue since June 28.
